  • Comment: I purchased the otterbox to use with a cooler radio I built for floating the river in New Braunfels. It fit my ipod perfectly. During the day it took several plunges, and never took on a drop of water. The slip through cord comes in handy as well. I have not used the arm band that came with it. I have also used it in very dusty conditions at an ATV park and never had any trouble. I am very impressed with it.

  • Comment: Works perfectly as advertised. I was pretty worried jumping into the pool with my new ipod but it worked like a charm. The only down-side is that it is somewhat difficult to put the ipod in the case and get it out of the case and the interior of the case is not big enough for a dust shield on the ipod as well as the ipod so you have to switch cases all the time. Still, I end up using the otterbox most of the time because that way I can be sure to not ruin it by dropping it in the snow and slush or if the kids and dogs stomp on it.

  • Comment: I used this case for my iPod Nano and on the very first use, water leaked into the case and RUINED my iPod nano within 3 minutes of submersion while I was swimming. DO NOT use this case.

  • Comment: I use the case for when I run outside. So far the case has held up nicely, and really protects the nano well when it is raining outside. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5: I'm not a big fan of the belt clip mechanism--the case adds a significant amount of bulk/weight to the nano, which then makes it droop if you try to clip it to your waist and run. This droopiness can probably be mitigated by placing the ipod at the small of your back, but then you can't reach the controls. So I just run with the case in my hand, and haven't had any problems.
