  • Summary: Love it!
  • Comment: Bought this item to record podcasts. Very satisfied. I am not sure why it hurts someone's ears. I have very sensitive ears and head. I can't even wear a head band - my head starts aching quite soon. But this product is just very gentle on my head. I love the cushioned earphones. Mike is very convenient. I would say that it lets more noise in then I would want, but it's really noisy where I record, so I shouldn't complain. Mile is pretty sensitive. And the sound is very clear. I recommend it!

  • Summary: Dead after two months
  • Comment: Bought 3 of these for co-workers and myself. Two are still working, and one is defective. Windows cannot detect it, which, after a brief web search means the headset is toast. Time to go see if Logitech's warranty is any good.

In terms of usability, the padding is nice but doesn't really help cancel out noise, since it doesn't cover the ears. Sound/call quality seems good, but mic is really sensitive. I would recommend giving this headphone a pass.

  • Summary: Great headset for computer.
  • Comment: I didnt want to spend to much on a headset but wanted something that will last longer than taking it out of the box.
A co-worker has this for skyping at work and likes it alot. I use mine at home for gaming [not a die-hard gamer] and skype. Works perfect for this. The mic and earphones work very nice.
Headset is comfy for a few hours playing but for much longer [3+hr] it can get slightly uncomfortable.
Good news, while wearing them you cant hear other people in the house very well.
Bad news, while wearing them your apt to get into trouble for not hearing someone talking to you.

  • Comment: I purchased this headset for use with Dragon NaturallySpeaking. As someone with ALS I must rely on my voice to operate my PC.

I wanted a USB headset for plug-and-play ease but also one that would be comfortable when worn for long periods.

Although plug-and-play worked like a charm that was about the end of my satisfaction. Although this headset has more padding than most others, it's certainly isn't enough to make extended wearing comfortable.

I also found that after adjusting the headband for proper fit it failed to maintain the adjustment and instead gradually loosen over time causing the headset to become loose on my head.

Sound quality of the headset during playback is acceptable. Microphone performance and clarity, however, leave a lot to be desired.

Another issue I had was the product's packaging which consisted of a hard plastic "clamshell" type package. Because I have no use of my hands and arms, I relied on someone else to open the package for me. Had they not completely destroyed the plastic package while attempting to open it, I would have most definitely returned this item to Amazon for a refund. Typically I avoid products in this type of package because of the level of difficulty in opening them. Even before I had ALS and still had full use of my hands I absolutely despised this type of product package. I understand that this type of packaging is inexpensive, shows off the product and prevents tampering and/or pilfering while on retail shelves but it certainly isn't end user friendly.

I have since found an excellent Bluetooth headset (the Andrea Electronics BT-200) which works much better with speech recognition applications (such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking) and was only $45 for the headset and the USB Bluetooth dongle versus $27 for the Logitech headset.

As a whole I've been happy in the past with Logitech products but this headset just fell short.I purchased this headset for use with Dragon NaturallySpeaking. As someone with ALS, I must rely on my voice to operate my PC.

  • Summary: USB Audio ALERT!
  • Comment: Warning to those who do not know:

If you do not have a sound card that supports USB sound connectivity, do NOT purchase any microphones or headsets that run on USB! These will not work unless you plan on purchasing and installing an all-new sound card in your computer that will support playing & recording audio via USB port.

For those with older computers, it is a simple task to look at your sound card port (where you plug in your speakers/microphone - usually in the back of your PC)... If you see the green, red, and black standard audio ports, but NO USB on the same metal plate, then you should not get a USB driven audio device unless you are ready to upgrade your sound card in order to fully support these devices.

There may be updates to the software or drivers on your sound card manufacturer's website, so check there as well before you decide not to get a USB sound device. However, 99% of the time, these USB speakers, microphones, headsets, etc. will not work without the proper physical USB plug on the sound card itself.

Just a little FYI for those about to buy without checking.
