Comment: Many have already spoken in glowing terms about these Amazon Basics HDMI cables. I'm so glad I found this product line, since I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cable I received when it arrived at my door.
The cable is of very high quality, compared to many I have used and tested elsewhere. Even the nice Amazon logo on the end of the cable has a quality feel to it.
This cable was purchased to connect my new 2010 MacBook Pro to my Samsung DLP TV's second HDMI port. I needed a fully capable HDMI cable to allow my new MacBook to transmit full video and audio. I was very pleased, but not surprised, to find that this affordable cable performs as well as those ridiculously priced Monster (or similar) cables.

Comment: I recently purchased this for my dorm to connect my laptop to my HDTV. I can say to confidence that it was the best $7 I've ever spent. The price completely blows other HDMIs out of the water and the quality of the product is just as good. Couple that with free two-day shipping from Amazon Prime Student and I was so happy with this great discovery. Anyone who needs an HDMI cable should just get this. And with frustration-free packaging, it was easy to open up and use right out of the box.
For those of you who are looking at HDMIs for the first time, they serve the purpose of traditional HD wires, but with the added convenience that all the wires that were previously required to transmit a high-def audio/video signal have been combined into a single wire. This ensures convenience in setups with absolutely no degradation in signal quality.

Comment: Connectors appear well-built, the cable works well with HDMI 1.3 input/output, but supposedly supports HDMI 1.4 (3D,etc.). Priced 10x lower than 1.3 high-speed HDMI cables in stores.

Comment: The price is great and it does everything an HDMI cable should do. Don't waste you money on $30+ cables. Also this comes in Amazons no hassle packaging. It is a simple cardboard box that is easy to open and can be recycled.
My primary use for this cable is to connect my laptop to TV's and projectors at school. I have not had the cable very long but so far it is holding up great to the abuse. The frequent plugging and unplugging and being tossed in a book bag have not produced any wear on the cable. Should work great for many years under normal use.
