- Summary: One thing to know...
- Comment: I purchased three of these drives to expand the internal storage in my heavily upgraded PowerMac video editing system. The drives perform as advertised, but I failed to check the peak current draw at start-up which exceeded the available current in my 1KW power supply. The peak start-up current is about 45% higher on this particular model, all other specs are the same or very close to the other 1TB drives I own. My solution to the problem was to move two of the drives out to an external drive enclosure.
Overall, a very good value with good performance.
